about fennec foxes
The fennec fox is the smallest of all of the foxes. They only weigh 2.2 and they have enormous ears that are 6 inches long. They are known to jump 2 feet high from a standing position. they are called "Desert Foxes" because they live in the desert in the north African region the Sinai and Arabian peninsulas.

The environment on where they live is very harsh. Its one of the most harshest in the world. The average temperature is 104°F but, can drop as low as 30°F. The daily temperature shift can be intense and the animals including the fennec fox need to be ready and can unfortunately die. |
There are a lot of people who take they animal for a pet and they take them away from their habitat. Some owners will not treat that animal right and can die. So it is recommend for them to stay in the desert. |
